Search

The first step to optimizing your legal pipeline is to standardize on clear, consistent language.

Search

This not only reduces the hours needed to meet each client's needs, but also minimizes the risk that comes with adopting custom wording unnecessarily often.

Search

Lexico helps achieve this by giving you easy search access to clauses from any precedent in your library.

Search

To find a clause, click the magnifying glass icon in the task pane and type a phrase you want to search.

Search

Search results can be dragged and dropped directly into the active document.

Alternatively, right-click the result to copy the text to your clipboard. This can then be pasted into the active document as normal.

Favourites

You probably use a number of clauses almost every day - execution blocks, tax definitions, perhaps even salutations.

Lexico allows you to add these to a Favourites list by highlight the text in the active Word document, right-clicking and selecting "Mark as favourite".

Favourites

Favourites can be viewed by clicking the heart icon in the Lexico task pane.

You can drag and drop a Favourite into the active document, or copy to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting "Copy" from the dropdown menu.

Favourites

Favourites can also be deleted by right-clicking and selecting "Delete" from the dropdown menu.

Review

Reviewing documents is a crucial part of everyday legal practice - and it's also where Lexico really starts to shine.

Let's say you just received the first version of a document drafted by a counterparty.

Review

You might want to start your review by checking if the counterparty's document contains all the clauses that your precedents normally contain.

Click on the quill icon in the Lexico task pane.

Review

Lexico will first identify the precedents in your library that are similar to the document under review.

Review

Under each document, you will see a list of clauses that exist in the precedent, but not the active document.

Review

These can be dragged and dropped into the active document, or copied to the clipboard by right-clicking and selecting "Copy".

Review

Make sure to inspect the list of suggested clauses carefully!

We can't guarantee 100% accuracy, but there's a very good chance you want to insert these into the counterparty's document.

That's the end of the tutorial for review and search!

Finally, we've also got a short overview of the settings page.
